Dalroze: Eurhythmics, Solfege, Improvisation (Beginner/Intermediate)

This class explores the three core subjects of Dalcroze: Eurhythmics, the study of rhythm; Solfège, ear training and musical literacy; and Improvisation, spontaneous musical expression at the piano. This course is intended for beginning and intermediate Dalcroze adult students.

(Please note that this is not a Pedagogy and Principles course that was offered in 2018 season.)

The Dalcroze Method: Observation Practicum

For a deeper understanding of the Dalcroze methodology and how to incorporate its principles into your classroom, this observation course follows 2 classes of Summer Academy students over four days as they hone their newly-learned skills in Eurhythmics, Solfège, and Improvisation. There will be written assignments that will accompany this course.
